KUNDANG (May 14): Gamuda Land today officially opened the new access road and community hall for its boutique township project of Kundang Estates.
Launched in December 2016, Kundang Estates is an 89-acre, low-density boutique residential development located in the town of Kundang, Selangor. The 11-phase development has a gross development value of RM628 million.
Some 222 units in phase 1 have been completed and are in the process of being handed over to owners since December last year.
“It is Gamuda Land’s town-making principles that inspire us to create townships and developments that are mindfully planned for our community to call home and one aspect of good town-making is connecting people.
“Before we hand over our first phase, we ensured that connectivity — be it physical or virtual, a central park where the community gathers and a community hall for sports and wellness are already in place.
“So when residents move in, they will get a feel for the place and want to be a part of it,” said Kundang Estate general manager Lam Sew Chee during the opening ceremony of the new access road and community hall.
Gamuda Land has invested up to RM14.5 million to enhance the area’s infrastructure. Part of the effort includes the extension and widening of Jalan BBK Utama, adding a total of 800m in length and 100ft in width.
The road enhancement has also inspired the local authority to follow suit by improving Jalan Kundang.
“We encourage more developers to adopt and spearhead initiatives such as green and sustainable development, having a proper road system and community spaces that promote better community interaction to improve the overall well-being of our community,” said state assemblyman for Kuang, Sallehudin Amiruddin.
Besides physical connectivity, residents of Kundang Estates also enjoy two-year complimentary high-speed broadband of up to 100Mbps upon vacant possession, making them the first community in the area to enjoy high-speed Internet connectivity.
Gamuda Land also unveiled the new 8,000 sq ft community hall, which houses three badminton courts, a basketball court and six ping pong tables. The space can also be converted into an event hall.
“The community hall is opened to the public for a minimum fee,” said Lam.
Kundang Estates also comprises a 14-acre interconnected central park that features a community farm for growing edible plants, a Maze Garden, the Esplanade that has a children’s playground equipped with a flying fox, landscaped flower lane, Lake Garden, and an Adventure Park with extreme bike trail.
“As Kundang Estates is a gated-and-guarded development, the central park is not available for public use. It is exclusively for the residents,” Lam explained.
He added that some 40% of the 222 double-storey terraced houses in the first phase have so far been sold – EdgeProp.my
