Sungai Buloh – Phase 1 of Gamuda Gardens, comprising 181 units of double-storey link homes, are fully sold. The homes were introduced in February this year.
“The good take up is attributed to buyers’ affinity to good placemaking. We are committed to create places that people will call home, want to be a part of, grow up and grow old in,” said Ngan Chee Meng, COO of Gamuda Land.
Gamuda Land is willing to invest upfront to ensure easier accessibility into its towns. The convenient accessibility of Gamuda Gardens is a key appeal. Located at the confluence of three major highways, LATAR, Guthrie and North-South Expressways, Gamuda Gardens is only a short drive from the city. The Kuang Elevated Interchange System provides direct access from the North-South Expressway (NSE) right into Gamuda Gardens.
Dubbed “in a garden where happiness lives”, Gamuda Gardens features five cascading lakes that are integrated into a 50-acre central park with lakes, cascading waterfalls, a mixedterrain jogging and cycling trail as well as various themed parks namely the Wetlands, Adventure Playland and Lookout Points that offer panoramic views of the green environment.
“An important part of our master planning is listening to what the land has to tell us. Gamuda Gardens is blessed with rolling terrain and hills so we are able to work with nature. We bring the water that runs off the land and flow it into natural ravines between the hills to create the lakes. As the land terraces down the length of the town, we are able to let the lakes cascade down through streams and waterfalls. We preserve the hills in our towns so we have hilltop homes just as we have lakeside homes. By working with nature, the essence of the place remains unchanged, only enhanced,” Ngan explained, providing an insight into the creation of the natural environment in Gamuda Gardens.
“A town that works must have all the right places, so we not only think of the home place. We think of the work place, park place, gathering place, shopping place, the learning place. These are mindfully planned and thoughtfully brought together by organising them around a town square where the community can come together. One of the key organising elements at Gamuda Gardens is the beautiful lakes so this town square needs to be by the water.
Being at the waterfront and having a promenade beside gives the town a sense of place. We also make our streets easy for walking and biking to let the community experience a nice journey from their front door, down the street to the Village Square by the waterfront,” Ngan added.
Gamuda Gardens will be celebrating its grand opening on 30 September 2017. Show units for second phase will be opened for public viewing at the sales gallery.
