GAMUDA Land Sdn Bhd recently held a prize-giving ceremony to award 28 winners of the “Through Your Lens” photography contest.
The theme for the first month of the contest was “Community” for which the winners walked away with cash prizes worth RM16,700.
Running from Jan 1 to April 30, 2020, the contest started off with the theme of “Community”, followed by town-making, innovation and will round off with nature in April therefore those who missed out on the first month can still head to any Gamuda Land’s developments, snap some pictures and enter the contest.
The winning entries for each month derive from two categories, namely the main category which is submitted to the Gamuda Land Through Your Lens microsite, and the special category submitted via Facebook and Instagram.
The first prize for the former is RM5,000, RM3,000 for the second prize, RM1,500 for the third prize and 10 consolation prizes of RM300 each.
The latter gave away one RM500 cash prize for the most meaningful picture and 10 cash prizes at RM250 each for Top 10 Most Liked pictures for each social media channel.
The top winners of both categories will be competing for a unit at HighPark Suites in Petaling Jaya worth RM500,000 for Gamuda Land customers and RM20,000 for the public.
Winning entries were judged based on the criteria of inspirational power, adherence or appropriateness to theme, uniqueness of concept, originality of the moment, clarity of expression, creativity and entertainment quality, with each carrying equal weightage.
The judging panel comprises the management of Gamuda Land and mainstream media photographers and a certified coach from Canon Marketing (M) Sdn Bhd.
