20 March, SINGAPORE – Gamuda Land’s second development in the island city state, a joint-venture development with Evia Real Estate (7) Pte Ltd, OLÁ thrives in the property market despite the current COVID-19 pandemic and economic uncertainties. The executive condominium located along Anchorvale Crescent in Sengkang, received more than 1,100 applications online. Since the e-application which started on 15 February 2020, the number of e-applications have climbed to 1,163 compared to the available units of 548.
OLÁ is a Spanish-themed executive condominium (EC) that offers 548 units of two to five bedrooms ranging from 775 sq. ft. to 1,722 sq. ft. “We decided to launch OLÁ as we understand that Singaporeans anticipate ECs due to its notion of affordability. Coupled with OLÁ’s good location and design plus ample condo facilities, it makes OLÁ the perfect place to call home,” said Dato’ Chow Chee Wah, Chairman of Gamuda Land. He added that all precautionary measures were taken, such as limiting the number of people into the gallery and show units by measuring their body temperature before being allowed to enter.
Keeping in line with its Spanish design theme, OLÁ features a handcrafted chandelier and porcelain ornaments from Lladro, the Spanish manufacturer of ceramic figurines, as well as paintings of children and families by Spanish artist Eva Armisen.
The design inspiration for OLÁ is in line with the Spanish’s love for community living whereby a variety of community gathering places have been mindfully planned for people to get together and neighbours to know one another. These include a bar, a club and lounge as well as a studio and gym. Activities such as aqua Zumba, aqua Taekwando, baking and dance lessons will also be made available in OLÁ to foster closer community living.
Residents of OLÁ will also enjoy lush greenery drawn from the surrounding nature and foliage at Sengkang Riverside Park, located within close proximity to OLÁ. The landscaping will include a valley walk, a biodiversity pond, a sensory garden and a forest stream deck.
“Our partnership with Evia has been a good one as we both share fundamental development principles that are important to both parties, such as putting the community in the centre of our planning as well as respecting nature and the environment when we develop any development. It is something that goes without saying for both parties,” said Chow.
One of the main features for OLÁ would be its in-house telehealth kiosk. Through the telehealth kiosk, residents will be able to consult with doctors remotely such as requesting for house calls or caregiver services. Residents will also be able to enjoy unlimited GP services – excluding medication and its subsequent delivery charges – for up to six months from its completion date.
Featuring a webcam and touchscreen that allow patients to consult doctors, the telehealth kiosk enables doctors to access patient health records, while patients can select from a pool of accredited GPs or specialists. There will also be sensors and devices that can measure the patient’s temperature, blood pressure, and heart rate. At the same time, OLÁ is also a wheelchair-friendly development.
The Housing Development Board (HDB) of Singapore is currently going through e-balloting exercise. OLÁ is slated for completion in 2023.
