GAMUDA LAND’S photography contest Through Your Lens has a monthly theme. The new theme for February – ‘Town-making” – is about reflecting the essence of what makes a good township.
“We take pride in thoughtfully crafting our townships and niche developments in line with our town-making principles that have continuously been refined over the last two decades,” said Gamuda Land chief executive officer Ngan Chee Meng.
“When we masterplan, we not only think of the home place, but also the play place, park place, eating and shopping place, the learning place.”
“On top of that, we carefully think through the connectivity and how the community will interact at these places. ”
“We masterplan accordingly to create an integrated development where people will get to know each other and grow together as a cohesive community. This is how we create a unique personality for each of our township.”
Responsible town-making
Like Central Park to New York City or the Eiffel Tower to Paris, what do you think personifies a Gamuda Land township?
Essentially, Gamuda Land is seeking photos of its townships’ iconic features, in which people can relate to or identify with the neighbourhood.
It could mean having a properly maintained central park where the community can gather or a clubhouse where sports and wellness facilities are close by.
For others, it could be the entry statement into the developer’s Klang Valley townships such as Kota Kemuning where residents get the sense of arriving at home every day or the Village Square at Valencia where neighbours get to know one another.
Some of Gamuda Land’s more recent town-making features include Gamuda Gardens’ Waterfront Village fronting the signature waterfall, the lively Buzz.ar at twentyfive.7 or Gamuda Cove’s Discovery Park.
Alternatively, participants can check out the award-winning Kota Permai Golf & Country Club at Kota Kemuning and Horizon Hills Golf & Country Club at Horizon Hills as well as Botanic Resort Club and Jade Hills Resort Club.
Gamuda Land, the property arm of Gamuda Berhad, has over two decades of experience in developing townships, high-rise developments, country clubs and commercial centres. Some of its high profile, award-winning projects in Malaysia include Gamuda Cove, Gamuda Gardens, twentyfive.7, Horizon Hills, Kota Kemuning, Bandar Botanic, Jade Hills and Valencia among others. Its overseas projects in Australia, Singapore and Vietnam have also won numerous awards.
