PETALING JAYA (April 4): Gamuda Land was recognised three times for its managerial practices which placed sustainability as its priority for Central Park @ Gamuda Gardens and Valencia.
Central Park @ Gamuda Gardens (Phase 1, 2 and 3) in Rawang was given its inaugural acceptance of a Gold award in the Landscape Planning category of EdgeProp-ILAM Malaysia’s Sustainable Landscape Award 2021.
Also receiving a Gold was Valencia for its ability to still provide picturesque sceneries for all its residents after its official completion in May 2012. The award was the 10 Years and Above Mom-strata Residential category in EdgeProp Malaysia’s Best Managed and Sustainable Property Awards 2021.
But what sweetened this development’s win was the accompaniment of the coveted Editor’s Choice Award which is a recognition of the team’s unwavering resolution in striving for excellence.
During the inaugural TheEdgeProperty.com Malaysia’s Best Managed Property Awards in 2017, the township received a Gold in the non-strata residential category.
This was followed by a Silver In 2019 in the EdgeProp-ILAM Malaysia’s Sustainable Landscape Award which is part of EdgeProp Malaysia’s Best Managed Property Awards.
“It is our honour to receive three awards tonight with the cherry on the cake being Valencia’s reception of the Editor’s Choice Award for Malaysia’s Outstanding Sustainable Township,” said Gamuda Land Club Operations and Township director Tang Meng Loon during the awards ceremony at One World Hotel.
“Valencia’s recognition as the nation’s leading sustainable township is the culmination of twenty years of mindful town-making. From the day we received the land to completion and beyond, Gamuda land has striven to uphold our development principles as a responsible town-maker, with respect for nature and the environment and caring for the people and the community, while continuously driving innovation to create value,” said Tang.
He added that he was also thrilled to have received the Gold award for Sustainable Landscaping for Gamuda Gardens’ Central Park since environmental sustainability is a topic close to the hearts at Gamuda Land.
“Spearheaded by our very own Gamuda Parks, we looked into the long-term sustainability of our parks from design to planning, implementation and operations. We know that when we are mindful with the planning and design of our developments – setting the right foundation from the start, we are creating places where people will want to call home so that they can grow up and grow old in it.”
