It’s Still Possible to “Spread the Smile” for Christmas with Loved Ones, This is How

We always knew that technology would be the future. Impressive terms like Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IOT) and 5G were floating around at the periphery of our consciousness, but 2020 -and a pandemic- brought all these things to the forefront as we’re acutely aware of the importance of connectivity.

Social gatherings, birthdays, festivities and celebrations as we’ve been used to took a complete new form in a virtual world as Malaysians partook in family occasions from a safe distance.

In a heartwarming video, Gamuda Land showed us that no matter how much things have changed, the love and smiles these special moments bring can never be dampened.

While we may be accustomed to having big social gatherings with hugs and exchanging gifts with friends and family – something we’re all unable to do so this year – there’s still much to be thankful for as this pandemic takes place at a time when technological advances enable us to celebrate together in different ways.

Part of their “Spread the Smile” campaign, the nearly two-minute long video shows us how families across the globe can still share in the festive cheer, bantering and dining together despite physical distance between them – -all it takes is a little creativity and a reliable connection.

With an optimistic outlook, we believe where there is a will, there’s always a way. With the right technology and infrastructure in place, we are still able to connect with our friends, family as well as our neighbours, albeit virtually.

5G-connected houses are the future, this pandemic made it clear

As the festive video shows, being physically distant doesn’t mean our hearts have to be distant thanks to the wonders of technology.

For one 5G-connected homes are now becoming a reality in Malaysia as Gamuda Land is already laying the foundations of incorporating 5G connectivity into its Gamuda Cove township with smart devices and artificial intelligence experience.

With the support of Huawei Malaysia, the nature sanctuary-meets- smart city is also working towards being one of the first 5G townships in Malaysia.

If it all goes according to plan, Malaysians can soon be part of a very exciting future.

Stay safe, and stay connected!
